On Friday, December 10, the board of directors at Tomorrow Today announced the appointment of Louise Pearce to the role.
Ms Pearce — who succeeds Sally Gamble, who stepped down on November 12, having served as chair for 12 years — has raised five children in the Rose City.
She has served on the Tomorrow Today board since July 2016.
Tomorrow Today executive officer Rosie Koop said Ms Pearce had an extensive knowledge of tertiary education, having held various management roles at Goulburn Ovens Institute of TAFE, TAFE South Australia and the University of Melbourne.
“Louise brings rich experience across both governance and education to the role of chair of Tomorrow Today,” Ms Koop said.
“We are fortunate that she has been so willing to take on this critical role to help steer our strategic direction for the coming years.”
Ms Pearce said she was honoured to take on the role.
"(I) look forward to working with our committed staff and board as we continue to support families, schools and the broader Benalla community,“ Ms Pearce said.
“Benalla is very fortunate to have community leaders like Sally Gamble and Liz Chapman, who have dedicated their time and talents to creating the Tomorrow Today Foundation and Education Benalla Program.”
Ms Gamble has been a Tomorrow Today board director since March 2001 and will continue to serve as treasurer.
