Seniors: The seniors were clinical in their demolition of a well positioned Mount Pleasant side, thumping them to the tune of 55 points.
After a month of slow starts the Hoppers finally came to play, piling on 6.2 to 2.0 straight, to take a commanding 26-point lead into quarter time.
The second quarter was much of the same as the Hoppers dominated the clearances and went inside 50 at will.
A four goal to one second term saw Colbo extend their half-time lead to 43 points.
The third term saw the Blues try to work their way back into the game, controlling the play for much of the quarter, but a late surge saw the Hoppers boot three goals to extend their lead to 59 points.
Mounts were very active in the last, outscoring the Hoppers 3.5 to 3.1 to reduce the final margin to 55 points.
Best on ground honours went to Damien Carmody who controlled the airspace in the defensive 50, taking a number of contested grabs and moving the ball forward with precision.
Nick Knight was extremely influential off the half back flank, working through a tag to have a swag of disposals, setting up plenty of forward thrusts.
Ben Southam was at his destructive best across half back, doing as much damage as possible before disappearing to Indonesia to get married next week, all the best Benny.
Other better players included Nat Nixon who was enormous through the middle, Sauce Ezard whose stoppage work was tremendous and Hadleigh Sirett who dominated the ruck and contests around the ground all day.
A notable mention was the reappearance of a prodigal son, who after a five-year hiatus from the seniors returned to carry his team to victory.
Reserves: The reserves were sensational in a top of the table clash, despite being extremely undermanned, due to the return of the prodigal son in the seniors.
After a slow start in which the Hoppers conceded a quarter time deficit, they bounced back in the second with slick ball movement and aggressive scoreboard pressure.
Darcy Taylor and Will Hayes were leading the charge with Liam Vale winning taps at will.
The third term saw a flurry of forward entries, putting the Blues defenders under extreme pressure.
The final term was much of the same as the Hoppers peppered the sticks, adding 2.2 to 1.0 to seal the 24-point victory.
The win has helped to offset the loss of flamboyant back pocketer Tim Hill to a season ending ankle injury.
Thirds: The thirds were brilliant against one of the benchmarks of the competition, asserting their authority through physical pressure and controlled ball movement.
A sensational first half that was highlighted by four goals has instilled belief in the group that they can take it up to the top teams in the Heathcote League.
Inspirational leader Charlie Ryan was at his prolific best through the midfield, amassing a swag of disposals and getting back to support the defenders.
Sam Ryan was enormous in the ruck, providing first use to the mids and following up brilliantly at ground level.
Jude Ryan is beginning to flourish in his role as a permanent midfielder, competing hard and using the ball with precision.
Other better players included Darcy Brown whose physicality and cleanliness under pressure were highlights, and Harry Rathjen who defended brilliantly one-on-one and anchored the back six.
Netball
A grade: The A grade girls came out firing this week at Toolleen off the back of their stellar win last weekend against White Hills.
The girls took control of the game from the very first whistle, with defenders Kate Chirnside and Lou Dupuy working tirelessly to create turnovers.
Jessie Geary and Lizzy Cobbledick were in fine form again, moving well in the goal ring and converting every opportunity.
An unpleasant injury to Paige Crouch in the first quarter meant a bit of a reshuffle, sending Lizzy Cobbledick into WA proving that she’s just as agile outside the ring, as she is in it.
Scores: Colbo 59 def. Mounts 33.
A reserve: Colbo 23 lt Mounts 56.
B grade: This week’s game against Mount Pleasant was a tough game but all the girls fought their way down the court with some great passages of play.
The girls in defence put in 100 per cent effort to get it back and didn’t give up.
The mid-court girls worked hard and had some great passes into our shooters.
Naomi Bryant was named the best player on the court.

B reserve: It was a spectacular sunny day at Mounts with both teams coming out firing.
The first quarter was close but as the game went on Mounts ran away with a convincing lead.
Despite the scoreline the Colbo girls played well, with accurate goaling, fluid passages of play through the centre court and strong defence.
Best on court went to Steph Crouch although it was a difficult one to decide as it was a fantastic team effort.

U17: An awesome team effort saw the girls win a hard fought match against a strong Mounts side.
The girls showed a lot of heart and composure to come from behind to win by one goal.
Tanzin and Zara stretched and leapt for everything, taking crucial intercepts and rebounds.
Tahlia kept the game flowing with great passes from the centre to Keely who weaved her way around the court.
Ella shone in goals and along with her clever work around the mid-court saw her and Dom put together a great goaling partnership.
Laura and Lily made hard work for their opponents.
Awards: Ella Kerlin (Rochester Sportspower) and Tahlia Pain (Subway).
Scores: Colbo 36 def. Mounts 35.
U15: The Colbo girls had a tough game against Mount Pleasant, but managed to fight it out until the end going down by three goals.
Sadie stepped up to play and got many intercepts along with Jo, which earned them the two awards.
Zoe and Dana shot some good goals with Stella defending well at the other end.
Summer played great in the mid-court, swapping between centre and wing attack.
