Those who missed Ms Colville-Walker's performance can look forward to another show live at the market later on in the year.
With the funding allowing for more diverse performances, future markets will showcase musicians from around the region, playing genres such as jazz, folk, rock, pop and even some South American sounds.
Performers will include The Healers, Drew Walker, Szara Fox Music, the Echuca Federal Band, Nigel Date and Darcy Ramage and Harro’s Blues.
Local acapella group, The Bellas, will also hold a special carols performance closer to Christmas.
The Echuca Farmers Market is held every second Saturday, with the next to be on Saturday, August 2.
Rhonda Middleton and Tony Middleton were out and about at the market.
