Under round two of the 2025-26 Community Grants Program, community groups and not-for-profit organisations were invited to apply for up to $3000 in funding to help deliver projects that benefit the broader community.
Mayor John Harvie said the program continued to be a great way for council to support local initiatives and strengthen partnerships across the region.
“Our Community Grants Program helps community organisations bring ideas to life, from events and equipment upgrades to small infrastructure projects,” he said.
“It’s also a great avenue to build on the strong partnerships between council and our local committees and we’re once again pleased to back some exciting community-led initiatives from right across the council.”
The grant program runs two funding rounds per year, with an allocation of $30,000 per round.
Due to an extra allocation in round one, this round had a smaller budget of $27,760.
Council received 17 applications in round two, requesting a total of $46,954 in funding.
Following a panel assessment process, 12 applications were deemed to demonstrate sufficient merit and community value to receive support.
