Following the success of KDC’s 2025 community movie night, which saw over 70 attendees come together to recognise the town’s contributors, the committee is once again looking to honour those who give their time to the community.
This year’s national theme, ‘Your Year to Volunteer’ encourages Australians to recognise the contribution of volunteers across the country and invites everyone to discover how giving their time and talents can create connection, purpose and stronger communities.
Volunteer dedication shines bright on Kyabram’s emergency services, with the Kyabram Fire Brigade’s busy start to the year including volunteers travelling across the state to battle bush fires, sacrificing time with their families to ensure the safety of others.
As a gesture of gratitude for their dedication to the community, KDC member Alma Limerick recently presented 20 movie vouchers to members of the Kyabram Fire Brigade.
The volunteers plan to use the tickets for a team-building social night, allowing members and their families an opportunity to connect, while also supporting another local business.
