The results have been confirmed for the Murray River Council elections, with three councillors in each ward declared elected.

Ms Berryman and Mr Wise reached the progressive quotas early in the piece, with Mrs Allan achieving this after the distribution of preferences on Monday, September 30.

For Moama, Gen Campbell, John Harvie and Bianca Hurn have been confirmed as elected. While the trio led during the vote counting, none reached the progressive quota during the counting of first preferences.

In the Wakool ward, Dennis Gleeson, Neil Gorey and Gary Pappin were elected unopposed at the close of nominations.
