A Glanville Village staff member and two other residents have also tested positive, according to Federal Health Department data.
Meanwhile, Rochester and Elmore District Health Service’s aged care facilities have been locked down after several residents tested positive to COVID-19.
REDHS chief executive Karen Laing said the first positive case was revealed on Sunday, November 21.
“We tested everybody when we became aware of the case and not all results are back yet, but several have come back positive,” she said.
“The families of the residents who have tested positive have been spoken with directly and they are being communicated with daily.”
Ms Laing did not confirm the number of cases at the facility and said the number was changing, with some results pending.
REDHS’s aged care facilities were deep cleaned and all staff and residents have been tested.
The health service’s non-residential aged care services have not been affected so far.
With restrictions easing in the community, Ms Laing said they expected there would be more cases.
“There are cases in the community who are in isolation and it’s unfortunate it has entered the aged care facility,” she said.
“We were prepared to respond in the event that an outbreak occurred.”
According to Victorian Health Department data, as of November 23 there were 47 active cases in Campaspe Shire, with no new cases recorded overnight.
The Murray River Council area also did not record any new cases on Tuesday.
In Echuca’s 3564 postcode there are 33 active cases, while Rochester (3561) has seven and Kyabram (3620) has five.
Echuca Regional Health, which runs Glanville Village, was contacted for comment.
