Deni childcare worker charged with assault

Officers attached to Murray River Police District commenced investigations in early December, following reports a five year-old girl had been assaulted at a childcare centre in Deniliquin.

It will be alleged that on two separate occasions, the child had water sprayed on her from a garden hose.

Following inquiries, a 27 year-old woman was issued a court attendance notice on Sunday, charged with two counts of assault school student while attending school.

She is set to appear before Deniliquin Local Court on Wednesday, October 15.
