Organised and led by Victorian Army Cadet units, the exercise offered cadets a rare opportunity to immerse themselves in military life and training.

Despite being a small contingent, Rogan made the most of the experience, engaging in a variety of hands-on activities and advanced training modules.

Among the highlights were military displays that included witnessing live artillery fire and handling two of the Australian Army’s current service weapons, the Minimi LMG and the F88 Austeyr rifle.

These experiences gave Cadet Rogan a first hand look at the tools and tactics used by professional soldiers.

Rogan also undertook Tier 3 training, which focuses on infantry-style survival skills.

This level of training challenges cadets with scenarios that test their endurance, decision-making, and ability to operate in field conditions, skills that are central to the Army Cadet experience.

The exercise, held from September 21-27, not only strengthened Cadet Rogan’s practical knowledge but also reinforced the values of discipline, resilience and teamwork that underpin the cadet program.

For Deniliquin’s 307 Unit, it was another proud moment showcasing the commitment and capability of its young members.
