Local First National Real Estate agency Charles L. King & Co. has joined forces with a generous, local land developer to raise much-needed funds for the Echuca Regional Health Cancer and Wellness Centre.

Longtime land developers Ray Perry and Chris Chadwick, together with their families, have donated a parcel of land at The Range in Moama as a generous gift that will see 100 per cent of the sale going directly to the Echuca Regional Health Cancer and Wellness Centre.

The land, located at 20 Currawong Court in Moama, will be auctioned on Saturday, January 27, at 11am by Charles L. King & Co., and co-director and auctioneer Troy O’Brien said this heartfelt contribution by the Perry and Chadwick families represented a cause close to many people’s hearts.

“This charitable act is a great example of generosity and community spirit and we are looking forward to seeing this 841sqm block of land sold, with all profits from the sale going directly to the Echuca Regional Health Cancer and Wellness Centre,” Mr O’Brien said.

“This auction not only presents a unique opportunity to secure a valuable piece of land but also contributes to a cause that touches so many lives.

“The Perry and Chadwick families — the developers behind this initiative — have gone above and beyond by also offering a year of annual council rates — paid in full — for the lucky new owners of this land.

“By participating in this auction, you are directly supporting cancer patients who can receive vital support and treatment locally, minimising the need for extensive travel.”

Echuca Regional Health chief executive officer Robyn Lindsay thanked everyone behind this wonderful initiative.

“The Cancer and Wellness Centre provides state-of-the-art treatment spaces, as well as wellness programs, and is designed to provide a calm and welcoming environment for patients and families,” Ms Lindsay said.

“This amazing gesture from the Perry and Chadwick families, as well as Charles L. King & Co., Cosgriff Lawyers and The Riverine Herald’s contributions, will ensure our capability to deliver the wellness programs for future years and support and treat patients close to home.”

Maximising fundraising for the newly established Wellness Centre is the aim of the auction day, with project partners, Cosgriff Lawyers, Riverine Herald and Charles L. King & Co. also donating their respective services to the auction campaign and land sale.

The prized block of land up for auction is nestled within the coveted The Range Estate in Moama, and, according to the sales agent Wayne Norwood, “presents a golden opportunity for those seeking a serene and sophisticated lifestyle”.

“Located close to the prestigious Rich River Golf Club, one of the property’s standout features is its proximity to a large lake that serves as the centrepiece of the community,” Mr Norwood said.

“This sought-after allotment is ideally located close to a tranquil body of water and lush parklands, which create a picturesque setting — perfect for leisurely strolls.

“And for more active residents, there’s a dedicated walking and bike track that connects effortlessly to central Moama, making daily commutes and weekend adventures a breeze — not to mention one of the Murray River region’s best 18-hole golf courses at Rich River Golf Club.

“In addition, a nearby recreational reserve ensures that entertainment and relaxation are always at your doorstep. With its generous dimensions and strategic location, this allotment is your canvas to craft a dream home.”

The appraisal value of 20 Currawong Court at The Range is between $250,000 and $280,000.
