With more than 70mm of rain falling in Echuca in the 24 hours to 9am on Monday, March 2, drivers are being urged to take care.
Streets across Echuca-Moama, including Sturt St, and Ogilive Ave, are covered with water and drivers should try to avoid these streets.
The car park at the shops on Ogilvie Ave has also been inundated.
A number of calls for assistance are currently listed on the VicEmergency site in Ogilvie Ave, Fehring Lane and Jamieson Dve, among others.
The rainfall in the past 24 hours is more than the entire month of February, in which 35.6mm was recorded.
With a top temperature of 22ºC expected today, the rain will continue into the afternoon.
