ECHUCA'S Aboriginal community is invited to have a cuppa and chat with local police on Thursday.
The Coffee with a Cop session will be held at 9am at Njernda Medical Centre.
The aim is to create an atmosphere that facilitates communication, by breaking down traditional barriers that have existed between police and members of the Aboriginal community.
Community members will have the chance to discuss any concerns or issues with officers in a relaxed and friendly setting.
