The Echuca library is the place to be during the school holidays with a range of activities to keep boredom at bay for children.
The library’s school holiday program includes something for everyone with crafting sessions, story times, rhyme times, pizza and movie nights and Lego and games.
Library services manager Jenny Mustey said the library was a great option for low-cost entertainment which was needed now more than ever.
“I think it's a really good option for families, particularly with the economy at the moment when people are struggling a bit,” she said.
“We get a few tourists who are visiting the area or grandparents that have got children coming up, but we definitely have a lot of regulars who come every holidays.”
All the events so far have been well-attended, especially their collaboration with Bunnings to build terracotta garden lights, on Thursday, September 26.
Due to the popularity of the program, bookings are essential for all activities except the r rhyme times and story times. Bookings can be made by calling 5481 2400.
