AN ECHUCA man and his grandmother have been convicted and fined for trafficking cannabis.
Joel Lehmann, 25, and Helen Wood, 62, pleaded guilty to the charges in Echuca Magistrates’ Court on December 22, 2020.
Echuca Senior Constable Scott Newton said police from Campaspe criminal investigation unit raided the pair’s home in Magnolia Dve on November 20, 2019.
‘‘Located in the house was 396g of bagged dry cannabis, as well as a homemade taser and drug paraphernalia,’’ he said.
‘‘In Lehmann’s bedroom, police found $1630 in cash and three capsules believed to be ecstasy.’’
The street value of the cannabis is believed to be in the thousands.
Lehmann, charged with trafficking and possessing cannabis, and possessing ecstasy, was convicted and fined $2000.
Wood, charged with trafficking cannabis, was convicted and fined $1500.
