Held on May 2, president Jenny Haines said the club members took the opportunity to reminisce.
“We wanted to make it special because we’d been in lockdown and hadn’t been able to celebrate our 20th,” she said.
“Some of the memories shared brought a lot of laughter.”
Beginning with a forum panel of old members, those newer to Probus had the opportunity to ask questions about the club, before members Lew Whitehead and Ann Luke cut the birthday cake, baked and decorated by Nancy Betts.
There were also prizes and activities for members.
Mrs Haines said Probus was a very active club.
“We have cards, a diners club and coffee every Friday,” she said.
“If someone comes up with an idea, they can run it by management and bring it into being.”
She also encouraged people who are new to the area to join.
“You meet a whole new group of people,” she said.
Echuca-Moama Twin Rivers Probus Club meets at the Echuca Workers Club on the first Monday of each month.
