Peter said it was a most enjoyable trip, visiting Cairns, Innisfail and Babinda.
“They had the most unseasonable heavy rainfalls, resulting in the wettest September since 1886,” Peter said.
“Daily temperatures ranged from 25 to 30°C, and we enjoyed day trips to see magnificent waterfalls, floods at Babinda Boulders, magnificent mountain scenery, lush green rainforests and one day we had a very good coastal drive to Port Douglas in sunny conditions.
“My son, Benjamin, took me for a drive to Atherton where he and his wife, Carly, and young son, Maverick, plan to live.”
Congratulations to Benjamin, Carly and Peter from everyone at the Ensign.
