An Echuca west house has been severely damaged after being fully engulfed in fire on Friday, March 6.
Emergency services responded to the fire at a property on Stratton Rd just before 5pm.
A CFA spokesperson told the Riv at the time that the fire appeared significant, with the house reportedly fully engulfed by flames.
Eight CFA units attended the scene, including the Moama Rural Fire Brigade and Moama Fire and Rescue, who worked to contain the blaze.
A spokesperson for Moama Fire and Rescue said the unit was there “for a brief amount of time” to attack the fire on the house as well as to provide breathing apparatus support.
They said controlling the fire was a cross-border team effort between the CFA and their NSW counterparts, with the CFA attacking front and left sides and Moama brigades on the right.
The fire was contained using water from a nearby dam and deemed under control by about 6.42pm. CFA units remained on the scene to monitor.
Victoria Police were on the scene directing traffic around the area and power and gas was switched off.
Investigations are under way into the cause of the fire.
