First-time mum looks forward to Mother’s Day

“It was so painful but it was so worth it,” she said.

“He’s made me a mum. That’s pretty special.”

The yet-to-be-named little bub weighed just over 3.2kg, measuring 48cm long.

“He was due earlier in the week but I guess I was meant to meet him closer to Mother’s Day,” Shanika said.

Shanika thanked the ERH midwives who had looked after her very well.

“They were all so nice,” she said.

“They really looked after me.”
