More than 300 people entered the competition held at Morning Glory on Saturday and Sunday.
Head of the organising committee Tim Denahy said while 316 people had entered, 268 people fished over the two days — down on 360 last year.
‘‘It was still a fantastic event with 500 to 600 people attending,’’ he said.
‘‘All money raised will go towards the Echuca United Football Netball Club.’’
The second annual event saw 25 legal Murray Cod caught, with Michael McAsey (adult) reeling in the longest Murray Cod at 103cm and Joshua Dempster taking out the junior section at 95.5cm.
Shaun Peirce (adult) caught the longest yellow belly at 54cm and James Dobbyn winning the junior section with 48cm.
Jim Campbell won the major raffle (boat, motor and trailer package worth $15,000 from Boats and More), while Darren Stumpo took out the major entry prize of a Clark 395 Predator with a Suzuki 30hp Electric Start 2 stroke engine on a Dunbier 4.3 sports trailer.
‘‘The Echuca United Fishing Classic really appreciates all the wonderful sponsors for their support and generous donations as their contribution helped for a successful weekend and fantastic community event,’’ Mr Denahy said.
