Held at the Rushworth Senior Citizens building, a five-course traditional festive lunch, including coffee and non-alcoholic punch, will be on offer.
Chapter 14 president Colin Consiglio and road captain Simon Morgan will be on the pans leading up to the event, cooking the spread for their guests.
“It goes with our ethos, really ― our club is all about helping others,” Mr Morgan said.
“If we can find a way to support an organisation, a person, a family, that’s what we do.”
Mr Consiglio recognised that Christmas could be both a joyous or difficult time for those in the community.
In the giving spirit of the season, the lunch is open to everyone, and guests are encouraged to come as they are.
“I don’t like the idea of me sitting down to my big Christmas lunch and having 10 courses knowing that other people don’t have that opportunity,” Mr Consiglio said.
“We don't care who comes, as long as you can bring half a smile.”
The lunch has been supported by Bendigo Bank and Campaspe Shire Council, and the venue it is held in is accessible and fully air-conditioned.
It will begin at 11am and run until around 3pm on Thursday, December 25.
Anyone from across the region can attend, and those without transport can contact Mr Consiglio on 0497 863 878 to inquire about organising a lift in a vehicle.
