But when it came to the actual shave on Saturday night, the amount has almost quadrupled.
Sean’s shave was held live at the Mathoura Pastoral Hotel, as part of the Mathoura Bra Fence fundraiser.
The local charity supports locals undergoing treatment for cancer, through assistance with travel and other associated costs.
Sean’s head shave alone raised $1895.
“The support shown truly is heart warming,” Mathoura Bra Fence co-founder Sharnie Celli said.
Other fundraising activities included auctions, raffles and general donations which brought the total raised on the night to an amazing $10,427.
“Thank you to everyone who donated,” Sharnie said.
“We had people contacting us who couldn’t make it on the night but bought raffle tickets and donated.”
