Future looks bright for Wombats

It was almost enough for a football team and certainly enough for a netball squad — 19 children belonging to footballers and netballers from Lancaster Football Netball Club were all decked out at pre-grand final training on Thursday night. The children, and their parents, are eight-month-old Ruby Grima (belonging to Caitlyn and Steve), Nora O’Neill (nine-month-old, Sonia and Coby), Levi Salter (six-month-old, Ash and Rob), Ariella Elliott (Jack and Katelyn Gentle, four months), Archie, 1, and Chase James, 5, (children Matt James and Courtney Waite) and Courtney’s eight-year-old daughter Scarlett Doolan, two year-old twins Finn and Indiana Davies (along with four-year-old brother Lenny, children of senior coach Tom and Jadeja), Steele Ryan (18-month-old son of Nick Ryan and Bailey Hargadon, who have another one on the way), Hudson, 7, and Ayvie Russ, 5, (parents are Jake and Miley), Jett, 5, Zayden, 9, Harper, 6, and Easton Cerrone, 1 (children of Darianne Scapin and Zac Cerrone), along with Logan and Natalie Tinning (children of last year’s premiership-winning senior coach Brad and Shona).
