The theme of the event was ‘International’, but many variants of truck, bus and car joined forces at Echuca Rotary Park on Saturday, September 13 and Sunday, September 14.
International trucks dating back to the late 1950s and early ’60s were among the vehicles in attendance.

American Truck Historical Society president Tony Murphy was thrilled with the display.
“I just enjoy doing the weekend,” he said.
“This is northern Victoria’s premier truck event.
“The difference with one of our events compared to everybody else’s is (that) we’re a truck display.
“There’s no prize, they’re all the same. They’re all there for everybody’s view.”

Among the vehicles were visitors from Western Australia, Queensland, Gippsland, Wagga and Balranald.
Brands, of course, included International, as well as White, Kenworth, Dodge and Mack.
Plenty of locals also brought their beauties along, including ATHS member Ken McWhinney with his green International S-Line.
“It was made in Dandenong in 1964,” he said.
“I’ve virtually done from the chassis up, rebuilt it.”

Trucks from as far back as the 1950s were on-site, all the way to current models and makes.
ATHS committee members Marg Wheelan and Alan and Heather Shearer’s restored White trucks were among those on display.
“We bought it new in 1979,” Mr Shearer said.
“It was a working truck for well over 30 years, then it became a yard truck.
“We restored it, and it’s been a show truck ever since.
“It’s done about 1.8 million kilometres.”
