Gannawarra Shire Council chief executive Geoff Rollinson has been reappointed to his role, extending his contract for two more years.
Mayor Garner Smith said council had unanimously supported extending Mr Rollinson’s contract.
“As a member of the community, Geoff understands the priorities and challenges important to Gannawarra,” he said.
“Geoff has promoted a culture at council that is community focused, co-operative and continually seeking improvement.”
Mr Rollinson has been involved with local government in Gannawarra for over 30 years, and has shown strong leadership in the face of recent natural disasters.
His previous roles have included works engineer, manager of operation services, and director of infrastructure and development.
“I thank the Gannawarra Shire councillors for reappointing me to this role,” Mr Rollinson said.
“I look forward to working with the councillors and the community in continuing to make the Gannawarra a great place to live and work.”
