The Committee for Echuca Moama is hosting a public forum on October 13 at the Moama Bowling Club with the option to attend virtually via the Riverine Herald’s Facebook page.
C4EM chief executive Deanne Armstrong said due to Victorian COVID-19 restrictions, the event was being held in NSW to allow people to attend.
“This event provides an opportunity for us to learn more about the candidates, their interests and platforms, and how they would contribute as councillors,” she said.
“This is your chance to vote on who you believe will represent your views, so it is important to make sure you are informed.
“As per our past public forums, we offer a respectful apolitical environment and have committed to a structured format that candidates and the public have the right to be heard.
“This is an event we facilitate on behalf of the community with the kind support of the Moama Bowling Club and Riverine Herald.”
C4EM has invited all seven candidates nominated for the Echuca Ward to attend this event.
Of the nine seats up for election within Campaspe Shire, the Echuca Ward has three vacancies.
There will be limited seating and you are asked to present your ticket to enter the event.
If you are travelling from Victoria, you will need to have a valid border pass and allow enough time to pass through the NSW border checking point.
Attendees must register by 5pm on October 12 at bit.ly/3lhclhs
The forum is on October 13 at the Moama Bowling Club. Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. The event will be livestreamed from 7pm on the Riverine Herald’s Facebook page.
