The Emus played at the Colbinabbin Country Hotel, where there was a special St Patrick’s Day meal taking place.
Liz Quinlivan, who helps run the club, said the Emus love to perform and take out their ukuleles whenever they can.
“It was a beautiful little pub where we got to play,” she said.
“When we are given the opportunity, we always accept because there’s such a need for music groups to perform either in the social support setting, around nursing homes, or just providing entertainment to people generally.”
The hotel was packed, providing about 90 meals to people. Ms Quinlivan said it made for a great atmosphere.
“The audience was invited to participate and being St Patrick’s Day, everyone did,” she said.
“It seems like everyone knows many Irish songs or a melody or a tune to join in with here and there. It was just a lot of fun.”
They even had a best-dressed award as part of the festivities, which was awarded to the very green Dave and Amanda Wilson.
