It's raining golf balls, hallelujah, at Moama

ECHUCA-MOAMA will be raining golf balls on September 27 when the Rotary Club’s helicopter drops 1500 of them above Rich River Golf Club.

And the person who buys the lucky numbered raffle ticket that matches the numbered golf ball closest to the pin will walk away with $5000.

Rotary president-elect Teresa Carlson said there were also cash prizes for second and third.

“Second place will win $1500 and there’s $500 for third, with the beneficiaries being Echuca Specialist School, Moama Public School and Rochester and Elmore District Health Service,” she said.

“Tickets are only $20 each and we expect they will sell quickly.”

Mrs Carlson said the Rotary Club was also organising a charity golf day on October to raise funding for mental health issues, with more details to be announced soon.
