Are you a male or a dancer wanting to be part of something exciting?

Echuca-Moama Theatre Company is looking for both to join the cast of its 2024 production of Into the Woods.

Auditions for the musical will be held on January 19 and 20, but with a limited number of males and dancers booked, the company is looking for more.

“This show is a unique blend of fairy tales, with many female and male roles, so we want to assemble a diverse and talented cast to deliver a memorable performance for our audience,” co-director Tamara Cadd said.

“We are also seeking six to eight dancers for contemporary style pieces, no singing, throughout the show to support our cast to tell an incredible story.

“We provide a friendly and inclusive environment, and we welcome performers of all backgrounds and experiences to audition.

“You will be taught by experienced directors, as well as actors, singers and choreographer, so it will be an incredible experience.”

Into the Woods intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm fairy tales and explores the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests.

Tamara will join fellow co-directors Mark Thomson and Sean O’Brien in bringing the Stephen Sondheim award-winning musical to life.

“It is an amazing musical with something for everyone,” Ms Cadd said.

People must be aged 14 and above to audition.

Performance dates are from May 30 to June 2.
