Kagome’s cuppa for cancer cure

The Kagome Australia team braved the turbulent weather to hold a Biggest Morning Tea on the morning of Tuesday, May 28.

Around 70 employees gathered outside the Echuca factory for a cuppa in support of Cancer Council Australia.

Chief executive Brad Free said the company embraced the opportunity to support the event, as it placed significant value in its people and the community.

“Being a large employer in the community, we have lost employees, family members and close friends to cancer,” he said.

“Therefore, we must make a strong commitment to supporting continued research.”

Mr Free hoped to see the donations raised across the country exceed the council’s goal of $15 million, driving treatment innovations and ultimately a cure to cancer.
