The Cats have already started their recruiting for 2020, with their team to be headlined by the returns of a number of home grown favourites.
Ben McPhee, Jesse Collins and Trent Bacon will all return from Bendigo Football League runner-up Eaglehawk, joining Rochester's James McPhee in returning to their home club.
Collins said the group had always held dreams of returning to play with the Cats.
"It's something that has been talked about at different times,” he said.
"We all played junior football at LBU, it's been a huge part of our lives, and there has always been a desire that one day we would go home and play together for our club.
"Now was the right time for all of us, and it fits perfectly with what the club is doing now. We want to focus on our home grown players, on developing the people who have been a part of the club. Being able to bring some great players back to our club is a great opportunity."
As well as the locals returning home, LBU will also add Lachlan Atherton from Eaglehawk.
Collins said the new group of recruits would add considerable leadership to the club, as well as their on field talents.
"You've got a group of guys coming in who have experience at really high quality levels of football up to the VFL,” he said.
"With that kind of experience comes some pretty strong on-field leadership. They add depth and skill to the side with how they play of course, but their understanding of the game and what needs to be done in certain situations is really important.
"We have a great side, we fell just short of where we wanted to be in 2019, so adding even more talent and leadership on top of that is going to be really big in terms of moving us forward."
