Learn mental health first aid in Echuca

A MENTAL health first aid training course will be run from Echuca Regional Health in March.

Funded by the Department of Health and Human Services, the course teaches how to help people under extreme stress or with mental health problems.

This includes what the symptoms could look like, what the causes could be and how to take action in a crisis.

The course will be presented by Ruth Turpin, who has been facilitating mental health first aid courses for over 13 years.

There are two sessions, March 25 and 30, from 9.30 am to 4 pm, in the main hall of the ERH Education Hub; enter off Leichardt St.

It is free to participate and includes lunch and a workbook.
