LEITCHVILLE Primary School had all students participate in the Murray Plains school cluster Swimming Carnival at Koondrook on Tuesday, February 26.
The eight students were one of four schools taking part in the annual event, with the Leitchville students placing fourth overall.
Leitchville Primary teacher Polly Healey said the students had a great day in the pool and the placing definitely didn’t dampen spirits.
Austin Smith placed first in backstroke and second in freestyle and breaststroke.
‘‘Reports back to me from staff in the Murray Plains Cluster on the way our students participated, co-operated and displayed thoughtfulness were all positive,’’ principal Jim Rinaldi said in the school newsletter.
‘‘It’s also wonderful to acknowledge the individual efforts of Austin, Ethan and Sienna who all swam personal best times.’’
