Little athletes star in different fields

Three local competitors — Nate Smith, as well as Chelsea and Elijah Swiggs — made the journey to the Doncaster Open Day event held by Doncaster Little Athletics in the final weeks of December.

The locals brought two medals back to Echuca Moama, with Smith claiming a silver medal in the hurdles, while Elijah Swiggs claimed silver in the shot put.

The next major event for our local athletics competitors will be the State Multi Event Championships at Casey Fields in the finals days of January and the centre will return to their regular weekly events on February 4.
