One large photo recently scanned is of the Mathoura Public School students marching down Hare St during the visit of Queen Elizabeth II to Echuca on Friday, March 5, 1954.
The framed photo was donated by Andrew and Betty Muller, who at the time were the licensees of the Pastoral Hotel.
The photo is no longer on display at the Mathoura Public School, but in the safe keeping of Marie Crack.
If you have similar photos of Mathoura that you believe are of value and should be scanned, bring them along to the next meeting.
The Mathoura History Group meets at the Mathoura War Memorial Hall at 2pm on the second Monday of each month.
