Moama Anglican Grammar celebrates student excellence

Moama Anglican Grammar School celebrated another year of excellence in education during its end-of-year presentation assemblies.

The primary and secondary schools held separate ceremonies, where proud parents and families were joined by board members, special guests and sponsors to celebrate the students.

MAGS principal Scott Downward said the event was a chance to recognise students’ efforts.

“Our annual Awards Presentation Assemblies are an occasion to recognise excellence across academic, co-curricular and extracurricular programs, and to also acknowledge the efforts of all students striving for their personal best,” he said.

“Congratulations to all award recipients, and to each and every student for your achievements in 2025.”

Many students received class awards on the day, with each class awarding Endeavour Awards, Excellentia Awards and Most Improved Awards.

Following class awards, students who excelled in specific areas throughout the year received special awards.

Categories included awards for Premier’s Reading Challenge, Extra-Curricular Music Encouragement Awards, Performing Arts Awards, Helen Dalton MP Award, School Service and Citizenship Awards, Colour Awards and Primary Sports Person of the Year.

Following all the awards, the top sports house for the year was announced, with Perricoota House taking out first place.

Alongside the students, long-serving staff members were acknowledged for their work at the school over the past five, 10, 15 and for the first time, 20 years.

Retiring members of the Parent and Friends Committee were also recognised for their contributions during their time with the school.
