Second-hand golf clubs, tables of best-selling books, jewellery of all shapes and sizes, along with a menu to suit even the most discerning of connoisseurs.

That’s what was on offer for the thousands of people that crammed into the expanded version of the Echuca-Moama Market for its Easter Sunday morning instalment on the weekend.

Easter signals somewhat of an end to the 2021-22 tourism period for Echuca Moama, but the May 13 to 15 date change for the Southern 80 ski race has extended the season — which will then roll into winter celebrations such as Moama Lights and the Winter Blues Festival.

Market organisers told The Riv that the crowd was as big as ever and stall holders had responded accordingly by offering hundreds of different products and services to the masses.

Visitor numbers to Echuca Moama for the Easter break returned to pre-COVID levels as traffic into the riverside towns on Thursday evening spread for kilometres along the Northern Hwy toward Rochester.

The new bridge was the major talking point with visitors, who drove across the new facility in their masses after negotiating the Ogilvie St, Northern Hwy and Warren St roundabouts to reach the NSW side of the river.
