Hundreds of concert-goers attended the event and got involved in the interactive hit music event, Deni RSL operations manager Jamie Hicks said.
“There were 285 people; It was a great event and a great night,” he said.
“I think this type of entertainment is very popular and works well here.”
Mr Hicks said the range of live music options and other activities will continue to be available for patrons.
It includes regular weekly entertainment, and a host of special events.
“We have live music Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Sundays will drop off in winter, but the Fridays and Saturdays will continue all year round.
“On Good Friday, corresponding with the Deni Rodeo, we will have a mechanical bull at the RSL from 5pm with the action accessible for kids and adults alike outside our weekly activities.
“Also coming up is the return of Reminiscing on Friday, February 13 from 7.30pm in the main lounge, following up the success of their performance at the RSL fundraiser for Deni High School.”
The RSL’s monthly ticketed events will also continue to add to the experiences at the club, Mr Hicks said.
“The next major event is Shaun Kirk in the Gallery Room from 8pm on Saturday, February 28.
“Then we’ve got Soul Chisel, the Jimmy Barnes tribute act, from 8pm on Saturday, March 7.
“It sounds like Jimmy Barnes, looks like Jimmy Barnes, and is a great show.
“Saturday, April 4 is the Australian Creedence Show Ramble Tamble starting in the Dunlop Room from 8pm.
“Then we’ve also lined up a Pure Elvis tribute show that seems very popular. That will take place in May, and we’re getting organised for that.”
Since starting the musical showcases at the end of June last year, Mr Hicks said they have been well received by Deniliquin and wider community.
“The events have been getting a very good community response.
“Since the change in management, too, the feedback has been very positive and welcoming.”
The Deniliquin RSL Club is open daily from 9.30am, and a free courtesy bus is now available whenever the club is open. Book with reception or by calling the club on 5881 1455.
