On Friday, June 6, a train versus truck collision was simulated with over 200 people participating in the event, including first responders, injured passengers and event observers.
From a hazmat incident to an amputation, the experience provided all involved with an opportunity to refine their first-response skills working alongside other agencies.
Members of CFA, SES, Victoria Police, St John’s Ambulance, Ambulance Victoria, V/Line and the Department of Defence were in Seymour for a multi-agency training exercise on Friday, June 6.
The multi-agency training involved rescuing ‘passengers’ from within the stricken train.
