The announcement coincided with the official opening of the company's 2025 sponsorship round on Monday.
The new Education Sponsorship Program is designed to support school projects and activities that promote student learning, development and wellbeing.
It will run concurrently with the company's Community Sponsorship Program, which has provided funding for community-driven projects across the local region for the past seven years.
Community groups and schools have from now until Sunday, June 29 to submit their applications.
Murray Irrigation CEO Ron McCalman said the company has established the education-focused funding stream to help meet a clear growing demand for sponsorship from within the local school sector.
"We receive numerous applications every year from schools seeking assistance for their various activities and events," he said
"Introducing this new stream to our annual grants program will boost the level of funding available, therefore enabling us to support a broader number of initiatives across both the education sphere and the general community.
“I would encourage schools and community groups who have a project or activity they are keen to make happen to submit their applications by June 29.”
Murray Irrigation’s sponsorship activities are made possible through the support of the company’s customers.
