Up to $3000 was available for community groups and not-for-profit organisations for projects or events under round two of the 2024-25 Community Grants Program.
Mayor John Harvie said the program is a vital way to support local ideas and build strong community connections.
“Our Community Grants Program assists organisations to deliver initiatives that benefit our wider community,” he said.
“It’s also a great way to build stronger partnerships between council and our local committees and groups, so we’re once again pleased to support some exciting projects across the region.”
A diverse range of projects in various interest areas across the region were successful in gaining funding, according to the council.
The final 13 recommended projects were endorsed, ranging from gardening initiatives and firefighting resources to a chess club and modern hair salon.
