The annual event is host to a wide range of native Australian plants, with the majority of species grown in society members’ gardens for display and sale.
“We had a very busy Friday night in our gardens, collecting all our cuttings from our plants,” president Sue Robertson said of preparing for the weekend show.
The society aims to encourage planting endemic species, with most of the plants available at the Echuca event suitable for growing in the local climate.
People wander through the displays and check out the items for sale.

“We’re trying to promote growing native plants in our gardens to attract all the birds, butterflies and the bees,” Ms Robertson said.
Ms Robertson said she was pleased with the number of specimens displayed, and was happy to see more than 100 people in attendance throughout the day.
The showcase also displayed artworks and exhibitions created by members, including popular handmade coasters for sale that featured native flowers, and a diorama of Western Australian plants.
The Australian Plants Society wants to encourage the nursery industry to propagate and supply Australian plants, according to its website.
