New bridge offers smooth driving when crossing Pyramid Creek

The Leitchville-Kerang Road was re-opened to traffic on Thursday, July 4 following the completion of works to replace Sampson’s Bridge with a dual-lane concrete structure. Works to replace the bridge began in mid-May following delays due to rain, with the project completed within the predicted eight-week timeframe.

“A reduced speed limit of 40km/h remains in place either side of the bridge for the time being,” Cr Learmonth said. “The council thanks residents and motorists for their patience as these works occurred.”

The works received $471,350 from the Bridges Renewal Program.
