In partnership with Accommodation Australia, the Federal Government has launched career and training platform, eeger.
General manager Emilie Howe said eeger was more than just a job platform, as it was built by industry, for industry.
“It’s a unique solution that centralises career, job and training information for our workforce needs — the first of its kind on a national scale,” she said.
“We encourage all businesses in tourism, hospitality and travel, no matter the size, to sign up and take advantage of the free eeger platform.”
Job vacancies, training programs and career development resources are combined on the platform to connect jobseekers, employers and educators.
Nationally, workforce demand across the industry is expected to grow by nearly 150,000 in the next eight years, with the platform launched to help sustain its growth and employment challenges in the sector.
