Anne-Marie Kelly, senior health promotion manager (Loddon Mallee) at the Centre for Excellence in Rural Sexual Health, is the latest addition to the REDHS Board, bringing a wealth of experience in health strategy and planning to the important role.
Ms Kelly is based in Bendigo and also holds a role as a senior advisor in strategy, planning and analysis at Bendigo Community Health Services.
“I am deeply passionate about rural and regional healthcare services,” Ms Kelly said.
“I strongly believe every individual, regardless of their geographical location, deserves equal opportunities to experience positive health and wellbeing.
“I have a strong interest in strategy and planning and I am honoured to be involved in strategic planning, policy development, and decision making processes to the improvement of healthcare services for rural Victorians.
"I look forward to utilising my experience and skills to support the REDHS Board. In my new role I hope to support REDHS’ vision to care for our community while ensuring essential health service access.”
Ms Kelly has been appointed for a three-year term alongside fellow director Ben Devanny, who has also been reappointed for a further three years.
This comes as Associate Professor Carol McKinstry concludes her nine-year term.
During her tenure, Prof McKinstry acted as the deputy chair, board chair and Clinical Governance Committee chair.
Eight directors now sit on the REDHS board, including chair Chris White, deputy chair Brad Drust, David Rosaia, Jim Brooks, Jodie Smith and Emma Millard.
