The mobile blood donor centre will be in Echuca on:
Tuesday, August 12, 19, and 26, and Wednesday, August 13, 20, and 27, from 12.30pm to 7.30pm; Thursday, August 14, 21 and 28, from 9.30am to 4.30pm; Friday, August 15, 22, and 29 , from 7.45am to 10.45am; and Monday, August 18 and 25, from 3.15pm to 6pm.
The van will be in its usual position, the High St car park, 438-454 High St, Echuca.
Gannawarra community grants
Sixteen local projects will share in more than $50,000 through Gannawarra Shire Council’s 2025 community grants program.
“For many years this popular program has enabled local community groups to host events the Gannawarra is renowned for and support many great local projects,” Mayor Garner Smith said.
Among the groups receiving funding were Cohuna Progress Association, which received $5000 for the Cohuna Chilli Festival, and St Mary’s Primary School, which received $5000 for the Cohuna Boys to the Bush.
Other recipients were Cohuna Progress Association, which received $2000 for the New Year’s Eve Festival 2025; Leitchville Seniors, which received $1600 for a seniors gathering; Northern District Community Health, which received $1400 for youth mental health first aid; and Cohuna Community Bus, which received $970 for sustainability and compliance for Cohuna community transport.
Community groups and organisations looking for funding for current and future projects are encouraged to visit gsc.vic.gov.au/grants, which features various grant opportunities.
