MELBOURNE hotspot travellers are no longer welcome in Moama.
It comes after the NSW Government announced a ban on residents from inner city hotspots from entering the state.
People who breach the rules could be issued with an $11,000 fine or sentenced to six months' jail for breaching the new rules.
NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard said the restrictions were the same as those being imposed in Victoria.
"Victorians living in virus hotspots have to take the Victorian and NSW health orders seriously and should be aware that NSW will impose penalties if they seek to leave hotspot suburbs to enter NSW," he said.
Exceptions apply for NSW residents returning home or for special circumstances, such as urgent medical care or compassionate reasons.
