The Vintage Drivers Club spent Monday night in Echuca as part of a run along the Darling River.
Sixteen cars, with 29 people travelling in the group, spent the night at the NRMA Caravan Park, before setting off first thing to Mildura.
Arnold Chivers was happy to share what they were up to and where they were heading.
Later his wife, Glennis, who is the president of the club, said Arnold “likes a chat”, as she was packing up everyone to get them on the road.
“From here we head to Mildura, then up to Broken Hill, and White Cliffs, before finishing at a station north of White Cliffs,” Arnold said.
“Then we turn east and head back to Melbourne.
“In total, we are away for two weeks.”
Arnold then went on to talk about the car Wayne Naylor is driving, a 1928 Corvette.
“That car has done close to half a million miles since 1986,” he said.
“The owner, Wayne’s borrowing the car for the trip, thinks it’s been along every road possible in Australia.
“It’s been so far and wide, the owner doesn’t remember all the places the car has been.
“We really enjoy being out on the road and often stop at aged care homes along the way.
