You’ll be greeted by brands such as Raw, Grunt, Uneek, Raptor and Legendex — underlining further the expectations drivers can have for their 4WD experience.
Brash Off Road has a three-year history, the fitter and turner exchanging the tools of his engineering business for a shop filled with “toys for boys”.
“Off-road was a hobby of mine. I have a Y62 Patrol with a few of the optional extras,” he said.
“I’ve been adding to it for the last 12 months.”
Brash Off Road is all about the optional extras; in fact, you’ll be hard pressed to find a 4WD fanatic that hasn’t added something or other to the shell of their vehicle.
The business offers mainly a retail experience, but also offers a fitting service.
“We fit bullbars, suspension lift kits, 12 volt electronics, exhaust systems and winches, among other things,” Mr Brasher said.
“There is something for pretty much anyone who walks in the door.”
An ever-expanding DCDC charger range, offering a secondary battery source to run all the camping appliances, is front and centre at the site.
“People can charge phones, batteries, run their fridges and make the outdoor experience more comfortable,” Mr Brasher said.
Redarc, an Australian company, is the biggest brand on offer.
“We use an Australian-made bullbar company, Uneek, which are specifically designed to suit different vehicles,” Mr Brasher said.
“That includes pretty much all of the 200 series LandCruisers, Ford Rangers, BT50s, Colorados and HiLux vehicles.”
A full range of Adventure Kings products is available, from the 4WD super centre company, which is an affordable and cheaper option for entry-level four-wheel drivers.
“MaxTrax is another Australian company, which is a very well known product. They do recovery systems,” Mr Brasher said.
“We also stock Stedi, which is a driving lights, light bars.”
Swags and chargers are the choice for the discerning camper, along with fishing kayaks.
“You can also accessorise with those,” Mr Brasher said.
“Fish finders can be attached, rod holders, foot-controlled rudders, the list goes on.”
