Wade will replace Caddison Mullholland in the role as the Blues look to return to finals action after narrowly missing out in 2019.
The role will be Wade's first in senior netball, after previously coaching Tongala's under 17 side.
“I'm looking forward to the new challenge but it's honour to coach at a club where I've spent so much time over the years,” Wade said.
“Over the course of last season, our young girls developed really well and I'm looking forward to working with them next season.
“I think the best thing about the role will be I have so many experienced heads around me who I can lean on for support.
“Everyone at Tonny is committed to getting the best out of themselves so I think there is going to be some exciting times ahead.”
The young talent which Tonny do have on their books is well documented, with several of their A grade players from last season taking their first steps into senior netball.
And they are set to be well supported next season with Tracey Hughes set for a return to action.
“Having Tracey back is going to be massive for our group,” she said.
“She has the ability to play at both ends of the court and her experience will be key in helping some of our younger team members develop.
“Along with a couple of new players to the club, I think we will be taking a big step in the right direction with the players we've already got.”
Tonny have also announced Corey Nexhip will coach the under 15s side, where he will be assisted by Grace Hammond.
