The map also shows how long drivers can park in certain spots, ranging from 10 minutes up to four hours.
Campaspe Shire Council director of infrastructure Kate Lemon said there were many free parking spots throughout town.
“The majority of parking in Echuca is free parking,” she said.
“Metered (paid) parking only applies to the CBD (shopping) area, the Nish St and High St car parks, with free parking on (Saturday and Sunday).
“All other parking in Echuca is free, including the Port precinct, with some time limits applied.”
While free parking is aplenty, the number of accessible car parks throughout town for people with wheelchairs and other needs is far less lower in comparison.
From the Port of Echuca precinct to the central business district and down to the hospital, there are 56 DDA parking spaces.
While the lack of DDA parking can make it difficult to find a suitable accessible parking space, it also means that people with a disability have limited access to certain businesses depending on their distance to parking.
Although future upgrades are dependent on the annual budget, Ms Lemon said the council was looking to increase the amount of disability parking in the future.
“Council has a project within the capital works program that relates to DDA parking,” she said.
“The purpose of this project is to upgrade existing parking locations to meet current compliance standards, as well as construct new DDA parking throughout the shire.”
Ms Lemon also added that the placement of DDA parking spaces was based on Australian design standards, where existing road levels, kerb and footpath angles allowed for DDA-compliant parking to be installed.
